[FR] Corner TV Mounting Solutions for Awkward Spaces

Corners are notoriously difficult. You can't put a TV stand there without wasting huge floor space. Wall mounting in a corner is the ultimate space-saver, but it requires specific geometry.

The Challenge: Stud Location

Corners rarely have studs exactly where you want them. You usually have a stud cluster right in the corner, or studs 16 inches out. You almost never have a centered mounting point.

The Solution: Single-Arm Articulating Mounts

Instead of a wide backplate that spans two studs, corner installs often use a robust single-stud mount. This arm attaches to the stud nearest the corner, and then extends out to "float" the TV at a 45-degree angle.

Size Matters

If the TV is too wide, it will hit the side walls before it can reach the corner deep enough.
Rule of thumb: The gap between the TV and the corner is dead space. Use this space to hide cable boxes or routers attached to the back of the TV.
